It is a very rare neotropical perennial species that is native to a valley near the Rio Nangaritza in southern Ecuador.
Philodendron nangaritense has green heart-shaped leaves that are almost round. The surface is glossy and the underside is matte.
To care for Philodendron nangaritense use a chunky potting mix. Grow it in temperatures between 12.75°C – 26°C and avoid temperature fluctuations. This Philodendron grows best in bright indirect light and does enjoy some humidity. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks in spring and summer.
