Description – Wattie’s Canterbury Super Oven Golden Chips 900g

Wattie’s Canterbury Super Oven Golden Chips 900g are made using 95% potatoes sourced from the Canterbury region of New Zealand. The potatoes are carefully selected, cut into classic chip shapes, and coated with a light layer of canola oil before being snap frozen to preserve freshness and quality.

The inclusion of canola oil (4%) helps the chips achieve a crisp, golden finish during oven cooking while keeping saturated fat levels low. This makes the product suitable for consumers looking for a lighter chip option without sacrificing taste or texture.

Natural colour from annatto extract is used to enhance the golden appearance of the chips, while mineral salt (450) helps maintain texture stability during cooking. The recipe avoids artificial colours, flavours, and preservatives, focusing on a clean and simple ingredient profile.

Once cooked, the chips deliver a balanced texture with a crisp outer layer and soft potato interior. They are designed specifically for oven cooking, making them a convenient option for busy households seeking easy meal preparation.

The Canterbury-grown potatoes provide consistent quality and flavour, ensuring reliable cooking performance and a familiar taste experience in every batch.

These chips are versatile and can be served alongside a wide range of meals or enjoyed on their own as a snack, making them a dependable freezer staple for everyday use.
