Description – Wattie’s Canterbury Crispy Crinkle Golden Chips 900g

Wattie’s Canterbury Crispy Crinkle Golden Chips 900g are made using 96% New Zealand grown potatoes, carefully cut into crinkle shapes and lightly coated in canola oil before being snap frozen to preserve freshness, texture, and flavour.

The crinkle cut design provides a distinctive ridged surface that enhances crisping during cooking, allowing the chips to develop a golden, crunchy exterior while maintaining a soft and fluffy interior. This makes them suitable for both oven and air fryer preparation.

Canola oil (3.5%) is used to support even browning and crisping, while dextrose helps achieve a consistent golden colour during cooking. Mineral salt (450) is included in small amounts to maintain texture stability and cooking performance.

These chips are made without artificial colours, flavours, or preservatives, ensuring a clean ingredient profile focused on natural potato flavour. The use of New Zealand grown potatoes supports local sourcing and consistent quality standards.

Once cooked, the chips deliver a satisfying combination of crisp ridges and soft potato centre, making them ideal for pairing with both everyday meals and classic comfort food dishes.

Their versatility allows them to be served as a side dish, snack, or part of a full meal, making them a dependable freezer staple for households across New Zealand.
