Its adjustable W 950–970mm sizing and 2000mm height make it a versatile option for suitable square shower installations where reliable access, water management and a refined black profile are priorities.

Description – Vogue Locke Black Square Shower Door Kit Only - 970mm

The Vogue Locke Black Square Shower Door Kit Only - 970mm provides a contemporary shower enclosure solution for bathrooms where clean lines, black detailing and practical everyday functionality are important. Designed as a door kit only, it is intended for suitable shower configurations where the corresponding tray, liner and other required installation components are selected separately as appropriate for the project.

With dimensions of W 950–970mm x D 970mm x H 2000mm, the shower door kit provides a substantial enclosure profile suitable for compatible square shower layouts. The adjustable 950–970mm width provides useful installation tolerance, while the 970mm depth establishes a practical footprint for creating a comfortable showering area.

The generous 2000mm overall height gives the shower enclosure a tall and contemporary appearance. This proportion works particularly well in modern New Zealand bathrooms, where streamlined fixtures and vertically proportioned shower glass can contribute to a cleaner and more spacious visual effect.

A key component of the Vogue Locke shower door is its certified 6mm safety glass. The clear glass is manufactured to AS/NZS 2208 requirements, providing an appropriate safety-glass specification for bathroom applications. Shower enclosures are used frequently and operate in wet environments, making suitable glass construction and correct professional installation particularly important.

The 6mm clear glass also supports a light and open bathroom appearance. Rather than visually separating the shower from the rest of the room with opaque materials, the transparent panels preserve sightlines through the bathroom. This can be especially beneficial in compact ensuites and smaller bathrooms where maintaining a sense of visual space is desirable.

Both sides of the glass feature an easy-clean nano coating. Shower glass is regularly exposed to water, soaps and general bathroom residue, so ongoing maintenance is an important consideration when choosing an enclosure. The nano-coated surfaces are designed to support easier routine cleaning and help maintain the clean appearance of the clear glass.

The single shower door has a reversible left or right configuration, providing greater flexibility during bathroom planning. Depending on the room layout and installation requirements, the door can be configured for suitable left-hand or right-hand access.

This flexibility can be particularly useful in renovation projects where existing fixtures influence the available shower entry direction. Vanities, toilets, towel rails, bathroom doors and surrounding walls can all affect how conveniently a shower door operates, so reversible installation provides an important practical advantage.

Black zinc hinges provide a strong visual contrast against the clear glass. The coordinated black hardware contributes to the contemporary appearance of the shower enclosure and helps create a cohesive finish when paired with other black bathroom fittings.

The shower door also features a black zinc handle, maintaining consistency across the visible hardware. The matching handle and hinges avoid introducing competing finishes into the enclosure and create a more considered overall appearance.

Black aluminium framing completes the modern profile. Aluminium provides an appropriate framing material for bathroom applications, while the black finish gives the Vogue Locke its distinctive contemporary aesthetic.

The framing incorporates a trombone configuration, contributing to the overall installation and adjustment system. Together with the specified adjustable width, this design supports installation within the intended dimensional range when the site is correctly prepared and measured.

Transparent seals are fitted to the door to assist with water tightness. Water management is a fundamental consideration for any shower enclosure, and the seals help control water around the moving door section when the shower is correctly assembled, sealed and installed.

The transparent construction of the seals helps them perform their practical role without unnecessarily interrupting the visual simplicity of the clear glass and black profile. This allows the stronger black design elements to remain visually dominant while the seals integrate more discreetly with the enclosure.

The combination of black profile, clear glass and coordinated black hardware makes this shower door particularly well suited to contemporary bathroom interiors. It can coordinate naturally with black shower mixers, black basin mixers, dark accessories and other modern fixtures.

At the same time, the black profile can provide effective contrast against lighter bathroom materials. White tiles, marble-look surfaces, light stone finishes and neutral wall colours can all provide a clean backdrop for the enclosure's darker framing.

The clear glass helps balance this contrast. Although the black profile provides definition, the transparent central surfaces prevent the shower enclosure from appearing excessively heavy within the room.

This balance makes the Vogue Locke suitable for a variety of residential applications. It can be incorporated into main bathrooms, ensuites, new-build homes, rental-property renovations and other suitable projects where a contemporary square shower enclosure is desired.

For homeowners renovating an existing bathroom, the adjustable width can be particularly useful. Renovation spaces are not always perfectly uniform, and actual site dimensions must be carefully checked before installation. The specified W 950–970mm range provides defined adjustment capability within the intended installation parameters.

However, all dimensions should be physically confirmed before cutting, drilling or fitting. Specifications and measurements may change, and installation-guide measurements should never replace accurate on-site verification.

Careful measurement is particularly important for shower installations because the enclosure interacts with multiple bathroom components. Wall surfaces, shower trays, liners, waterproofing, drainage and surrounding fixtures must all be coordinated correctly.

Waterproofing is an essential part of installing the Vogue Locke shower system. In addition to normal plumbing-industry installation standards, showers must be installed in accordance with the applicable Waterproofing Instructions provided for the liner and tray.

Following the specified waterproofing process is important for creating a complete shower system designed to manage water correctly. The shower door and transparent seals are only part of the overall wet-area assembly and should not be considered substitutes for correct tray, liner and waterproofing installation.

Professional workmanship is therefore essential. Installation must comply with applicable industry-standard practices, codes and guidelines, and all plumbing or electrical work must be completed by appropriately licensed or registered industry professionals.

The product should be inspected immediately after opening and before permanent installation begins. Glass, framing, hinges, handles, seals and other components should be checked for condition, appearance and suitability before drilling, fixing or completing surrounding building work.

Following installation, the shower should be rigorously tested and inspected for compliant performance and appearance. This provides an opportunity to verify door operation, alignment, sealing and overall installation quality before the bathroom is placed into normal use.

Products supplied for these applications are intended to meet applicable New Zealand Building Code B2 Guarantees and Durability requirements together with relevant plumbing and AS/NZS standards. Appropriate installation methods and professional workmanship remain essential to the finished result.

With more than 50,000 bathroom and kitchen renovations undertaken each year, practical bathroom components that balance design and functionality remain important for New Zealand residential projects. The Vogue Locke shower door kit addresses this requirement with contemporary black styling and installation-oriented features.

The reversible single-door arrangement is particularly valuable because bathroom layouts vary considerably. Rather than restricting the project to one predetermined door orientation, the left or right configuration provides additional flexibility when planning access.

The easy-clean coating on both sides of the glass also supports everyday practicality. Both the shower-facing and bathroom-facing glass surfaces can require regular cleaning, so applying the nano coating to both sides provides a useful maintenance-focused feature.

The result is a shower door kit that balances visual design with functional details. Certified safety glass, reversible operation, coordinated black hardware, adjustable framing, transparent seals and nano-coated glass all contribute to a practical modern enclosure.

For homeowners, this means the shower can become an intentional part of the bathroom design rather than simply a functional enclosure. For builders and professional renovators, the clearly defined specifications provide useful information for assessing suitability and planning the installation.

Why Choose This Vogue Locke Black Square Shower Door Kit Only - 970mm?

The Vogue Locke Black Square Shower Door Kit Only - 970mm is an attractive choice for New Zealand bathroom projects where contemporary styling needs to be supported by practical everyday functionality.

Its black profile immediately gives the enclosure a distinctive appearance. Black bathroom fittings remain highly effective for creating contrast and definition, particularly when used alongside white, neutral, stone-look or marble-look bathroom finishes.

Rather than using black elements independently, the Vogue Locke coordinates the aluminium framing, zinc hinges and handle. This creates a consistent visual language across the enclosure and helps the shower look deliberately integrated into the overall bathroom design.

Clear 6mm glass prevents the black profile from making the enclosure feel visually enclosed. The transparent panels preserve sightlines through the room, allowing tiles and shower fittings to remain visible while helping natural and artificial light travel through the bathroom.

Safety is supported by glass certified to AS/NZS 2208. For a frequently used bathroom component, selecting appropriately specified safety glass is an important consideration, particularly when combined with professional installation and correct preparation of the surrounding shower area.

The reversible single door is another significant advantage. Bathroom layouts can place the vanity, toilet, entry door or other fixtures on either side of the shower, and a fixed opening direction may not always be convenient. The ability to configure the door for left or right operation provides greater freedom during planning.

Its W 950–970mm adjustable range adds further installation flexibility. Combined with the 970mm depth and 2000mm height, these dimensions create a substantial square shower configuration while allowing adjustment within the specified installation range.

Maintenance has also been considered. Both sides of the glass receive an easy-clean nano coating, helping simplify routine care of a surface that is constantly exposed to bathroom conditions.

Transparent seals on the door contribute to water management without introducing visually heavy components. When correctly installed as part of the complete shower system, they help support water tightness around the door area.

The black aluminium trombone framing provides the structural profile and contributes to the adjustable installation configuration. Its dark finish complements the zinc hardware and reinforces the modern aesthetic.

Correct waterproofing remains fundamental to the complete installation. The shower must be installed according to relevant industry requirements together with the specified waterproofing instructions for the liner and tray. Professional installation ensures that the door, tray, liner, seals and surrounding bathroom construction operate together as a complete system.

The kit-only format is also useful for projects where the required shower components are being selected according to specific site conditions. Buyers and installers can coordinate the door kit with compatible components required for the complete installation rather than treating the door as an independent shower system.

For renovations, the Vogue Locke provides an opportunity to transform the visual character of an existing bathroom. The combination of clear glass and black detailing can create a substantial contemporary update without overwhelming the room.

For new builds, its clearly specified dimensions and reversible configuration allow the shower to be considered during the bathroom design stage. This helps builders and designers coordinate door access, fixture placement and overall room circulation.

These characteristics make the Vogue Locke suitable for homeowners seeking a modern shower feature as well as builders, developers and professional renovators who require a practical enclosure solution with clearly defined specifications.

With certified safety glass, a versatile reversible door, adjustable sizing, coordinated black finishes, transparent seals and nano-coated glass, the Vogue Locke brings together the features required for an attractive and functional modern shower enclosure.
