The Cordless Circular Saw 165mm 21V - Skin Only is a practical high-performance cutting tool designed for New Zealand tradies, builders, carpenters, renovators and DIY users who want cordless freedom without sacrificing useful cutting capability. Powered by a 21V Max system and operating at a no-load speed of up to 4000 RPM, this Worksite circular saw is suitable for a wide range of timber cutting, construction and workshop applications. Its 165mm blade provides a cutting depth of up to 54mm at 90 degrees and 38mm at 45 degrees, while the adjustable 0 to 50 degree bevel range provides flexibility for straight and angled cuts. The tool is supplied as a skin only, meaning the battery and charger are excluded, making it particularly useful for users who already own compatible batteries. Makita battery compatibility further increases convenience, while the included TCT tungsten blade means the saw is equipped with a durable cutting blade ready for your next project once a suitable battery is fitted.

Description - Cordless Circular Saw 165mm 21V - Skin Only

The Cordless Circular Saw 165mm 21V - Skin Only combines portable cordless operation, strong cutting performance and practical adjustment features in one versatile power tool. Designed by Worksite, it provides the flexibility needed for common cutting jobs around building sites, workshops, garages and home renovation projects.

Unlike a corded circular saw that requires access to a nearby power outlet and can restrict movement with a power lead, this 21V cordless design allows greater freedom when moving between work areas. This can be particularly valuable when working outdoors, on renovation projects or in locations where convenient mains power is unavailable.

At the centre of the saw is its 21V Max cordless power system. The tool reaches a no-load speed of 4000 RPM, providing the blade speed required for efficient cutting across suitable materials. Whether you are preparing timber for a building project, cutting boards to length or making angled cuts for a DIY job, the combination of cordless power and a 165mm blade gives the saw useful versatility.

The 165mm, or approximately 6-1/2 inch, blade size provides a good balance between cutting capacity and portability. At a standard 90 degree cutting position, the circular saw can achieve a maximum cutting depth of 54mm. This makes it suitable for many everyday timber and board-cutting applications where a compact handheld circular saw is preferred.

When an angled cut is required, the saw offers a cutting depth of up to 38mm at 45 degrees. The bevel angle can be adjusted through a range of 0 to 50 degrees, allowing the operator to configure the saw for straight cuts as well as a variety of bevel-cutting applications. This added flexibility can be useful for construction, woodworking, framing and general renovation work where cuts are not always made at a simple 90 degree angle.

An important advantage of this model is its Makita battery compatibility. For users who already have suitable compatible batteries in their tool collection, this can reduce the need to maintain another completely separate battery platform. It also makes the skin-only configuration a practical choice for workshops or tradespeople who already have compatible power sources available.

For users purchasing a battery specifically for this saw, a compatible 21V 4.0Ah Li-ion battery is recommended to help deliver maximum power output. A compatible 21V 2.0Ah battery can also be used. Battery capacity can influence practical runtime and performance under demanding workloads, so the recommended 4.0Ah option is particularly suitable when the saw will be used for larger or repeated cutting tasks.

It is important to note that this product is supplied as a skin only. A battery and charger are not included and must be purchased separately if you do not already own compatible equipment. This configuration avoids making existing battery-platform users purchase unnecessary additional batteries or chargers.

The circular saw includes a TCT tungsten blade. Tungsten carbide tipped blades are widely used for power saw applications because they provide durable cutting teeth capable of handling repeated cutting work when used with suitable materials. Having the blade included also means there is no immediate need to source a standard blade separately before using the tool.

With a no-load speed of 4000 RPM, adjustable bevel range, useful cutting depths and cordless construction, this saw provides the core capabilities required for everyday cutting work without becoming unnecessarily complicated. The controls are designed around practical operation, including a lock-off switch that helps prevent unintended activation.

For builders and renovators, the saw can be useful when sizing timber and preparing materials around a work area. Carpenters and woodworking users can benefit from the combination of straight and bevel cutting capability. Home DIY users can also use the saw for appropriate projects such as shelving, timber construction, repairs and general property improvements.

Its cordless format is particularly useful when a project involves moving frequently between cutting locations. Instead of finding a power point, running an extension lead and repositioning the cable as work progresses, users can move the saw and compatible battery directly to the required area.

The Worksite Cordless Circular Saw is therefore designed as a straightforward cutting solution rather than an unnecessarily complicated workshop machine. It delivers the important features users typically need from a portable circular saw: cordless operation, a capable 165mm blade, adjustable bevel cutting, practical cutting depth and compatibility with a convenient battery platform.

Key Points

Powerful 21V Max Cordless Performance: The 21V Max platform and 4000 RPM no-load speed provide strong cutting performance for suitable timber, building, renovation and workshop applications while maintaining the convenience of cordless operation.

165mm TCT Tungsten Blade Included: Supplied with a 165mm TCT tungsten blade, the circular saw offers durable cutting capability with a maximum cutting depth of 54mm at 90 degrees and 38mm at 45 degrees.

Makita Battery Compatible: Compatibility with suitable Makita batteries gives users greater flexibility, especially if compatible batteries are already part of their existing power-tool setup. A 21V 4.0Ah Li-ion battery is recommended for maximum power output.

Adjustable 0 to 50 Degree Bevel: The adjustable bevel range makes it possible to configure the saw for standard straight cutting as well as angled applications, providing additional versatility for building, carpentry and DIY projects.
