12 pin Connection

The 12 pin connection means faster, higher volume communication between the EOS R camera and each of the RF lenses. This enables lightning-fast AF, high image stabilization and image optimization.

Beyond Full Compatibility with EF/EF-S Lenses

Use any EF/EF-S lens with the EOS R camera thanks to three optional mount adapters. One even has a customizable control ring, and another lets you drop in a circular polarizing or variable ND filter.

Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R

The Control Ring Mount Adapter EF-EOS R lets you use EF and EF-S lenses with the EOS R camera, but with an added control ring like those found on RF lenses for increased control and customization.

Mount Adapter EF-EOS R

The compact Mount Adapter EF-EOS R expands the list of lenses compatible with the EOS R system, allowing use with your new or existing EF and EF-S lenses without compromising quality or performance.

Drop-in Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R

The Drop-in Filter Mount Adapter EF-EOS R features drop-in filter capability, which lets you utilize either a circular polarizing filter or variable ND filter with your EF and EF-S lenses.
