Description – Calbee Hooleys Tangy Jalapeno & Cheddar Flavour Chips 90g

Calbee Hooleys Tangy Jalapeno & Cheddar Flavour Chips 90g is a savoury potato-based snack that combines crisp chip texture with a bold seasoning profile featuring jalapeno heat and cheddar cheese richness. The product is positioned within the flavoured chip category, where intensity of seasoning and crunch quality are key drivers of consumer satisfaction.

The chips are made from sliced potatoes that are cooked until crisp to achieve a consistent crunch profile. They are then coated with a carefully balanced seasoning blend that delivers two primary flavour notes: the tangy, slightly sharp heat of jalapeno pepper and the creamy, savoury depth of cheddar cheese. This combination creates a layered taste experience that begins with a cheesy richness and finishes with a mild spicy kick.

The 90g pack size is designed for personal consumption or light sharing. It is suitable for on-the-go snacking and offers a practical portion for individual enjoyment without requiring storage or preparation. The packaging is designed to maintain freshness and preserve crispness, ensuring the chips retain their texture from opening to finish.

From a sensory standpoint, the product focuses heavily on contrast. The crunch of the chip provides immediate satisfaction, while the seasoning delivers evolving flavour intensity. The jalapeno component adds a gradual heat that builds slightly but remains approachable for most consumers, while the cheddar flavour anchors the profile with a familiar, comforting savoury base.

Calbee, as a brand, is widely associated with snack innovation and flavour-forward products. Hooleys represents a more expressive flavour line, targeting consumers who prefer chips with personality and stronger seasoning profiles rather than plain or lightly salted alternatives.

This product is also versatile in usage. It can be consumed as a standalone snack, paired with dips such as sour cream or guacamole, or served as part of a sharing platter. Its bold flavour profile also makes it suitable as a side snack with sandwiches, burgers, or wraps, where it complements rather than competes with main meals.
